Some of you may have a seen a notice in NZ Musician magazine that Fleet FM has been under some pressure lately and may be shutting down. With the economic situation and the recent closure of other like minded broadcasters perhaps this isn't surprising. Running a commercial-free, playlist-free, content prescription-free radio station completely dependent on our wild and wonderful dj's and listener's generosity is certainly not always peachy.

But let's just say that Fleet won't be going anywhere except the outer limits of radio broadcasting anytime soon. Sick of playlist driven "student"/genre specific/national/commercial radio?
